Michigan State embarrassed the Nebraska basketball team on Saturday, winning 62-34. Is this the final straw for Doc Saddler? I really like Doc, but somethings got to give.

Spencer 27 points, Nebraska wins 80-57
Nebraska beat Illinois 80-57 Saturday. Bo Spencer had a career game pouring in 27 points. The sad part is this team is way better than it's record.

Nebraska slides
Last week Nebraska basketball lost to both Michigan and Penn State. With several key senior players returning it seemed like the Huskers were poised to have a good season. It wasn't meant to be. With a 11-13 overall record and 3-10 conference record, Nebraska has little choice but to consider a replacement for Doc Sadler. Lee Barfknecht from Omaha.com has the story here.

Northwestern 84 Nebraska 74
The Huskers showed a decent effort in defeat Thursday night. With an entire week to prepare for Northwestern, you would have thought they'd practiced against the 1-3-1 zone. The Huskers managed to score 74, but seemed to have trouble beating the high press zone. Meanwhile, Northwestern took full advantage of the lazy NU defense and bombed away from 3 making 14-31. John Surna had 28 points for the Wildcats.
Nebraska faces Minnesota on Sunday afternoon.
